| Elk ranching is an excellent use of marginal land. The Pea Ridge elk herd is T.B. accredited, Brucellosis tested, CWD monitored, and DNA profiled. Bulls, cows, and calves are currently available for sale at Pea Ridge Elk Ranch.
Herd Genetics The bloodlines at Pea Ridge Elk Ranch represent some of the finest champions anywhere. Our herd bulls include "Champ", a Wolfgang Such grandson. Champ was the 1995 International Velvet Champion and the sire of "Wildcat", the 2002 International Hard Antler Champion. "Teddy II," a visitor favorite at the Ridge, has given outstanding offspring and continues to impress us with his width and tine length. The cow herd at Pea Ridge Elk Ranch has been carefully selected to include only the top bloodlines. Each year replacement heifers from the herd are kept back for breeding purposes. They are daughters of Champ, Jesse and Teddy II as well as King, Ringo, Smokin' Ash and AJ. New genetics to the cow herd include bloodlines from the outstanding Wild-n-Wooly Acres farm. The females carry with them pedigrees that include names like Clearstone and Reed. Sires such as Platinum, Apex, and Jethro will produce our next generation of champions. We are excited about the unlimited possibilities these animals will offer.
